Reader's Tip If you hate propaganda, read no farther. I believe that every reading club, book club, and yes, individual reader, should choose a book by an author they've never read at least once a year. Yep, and I believe they should buy it, not borrow it, though I have nothing against passing books around, it isn't the healthiest practice for the publishing industry. Then, if the reader (or club) likes the book, I believe they should logon to Amazon.com or BN.com and write a little review. Then they should write an e-mail and tell one other reading friend about it. And then they can go to be that night (this one night of the year) knowing that they have done something to encourage new talent and to keep our free press free and healthy enough to continue to publish books of all stripes, not only the ones that promise to be blockbusters. Our freedom of ideas depends on that. Find at least one tip on writing, promotion or tech on every page of this Web site.
